Ruth Enasia

"She'll put you out of her misery"

Ruth was formerly an apprentice for the controversial Dr. Vekorkian. Her apprenticeship required she stay in the hospital full-time, which left her without supervision after hours. Easily bored and having little compassion or remorse, she created a game for herself where she would stalk the night watchmen and cleaning crew, "tag" them with a deadly dose of readily available barbiturates, and tally her "score" before the doctors arrived in the morning. For six months, neither the administration nor the local authorities could figure out why the overnight staff was dwindling. Until the day she snapped. The doctor arrived one morning to find Ruth crawling down a corridor with a syringe between her teeth, like a cat stalking its prey. Not wanting to startle her, and to figure out what she was doing, the doctor went down an adjacent hallway. Turning the corner, he spotted her, and her gaze met his. She charged after him, raised needle in her left hand and fire in her eyes. Though he was able to subdue her, he decided she should immediately be discharged and committed to the Elgin Mental Health Center for the Criminally Insane. There she remained for months, glumly stabbing at her room's padded walls with an invisible syringe while her story spread through town in underground gossip and made its way to the ears of the Manic Attackers. They planned a night break-out and showed Ruth the ways of the track. She liked games. She liked putting people down. This is where she belonged. Now an integral part of the Manics, though she doesn't eat babies, she does enjoy putting them down for a nice, long nap.
